Transport Workers’ Cooperative Union (UCOT) resolved this Tuesday night to carry out a 24-hour strike due to robbery suffered by a driver of line 370.
The workers explained that in less than 10 days they suffered four episodes of robberies and assaults.
The general secretary of the Trade Union Association of Cooperatives and Transport Workers (ASCOT), Julio Spinetti, pointed out that the Cooperative of Workers and Employees of Collective Transport (Coetc) “will cut some line” this Tuesday in solidarity with the affected UCOT workers
“This is taking the safety of transport workers out of our hands. We are half cowed by so much robbery,” he told El Observador.
From the Micro Este Bus Corporation (EAT) They still have no news, said Spinetti.
“Services are resumed tomorrow (Wednesday) with the night ones,” it was indicated.
This Wednesday at 10:00 in the morning they will meet in an assembly and then they will move towards the Ministry of the Interior to “demand more security.”
