Ministers of State travel to Washington for official mission

This Tuesday, November 29, a Diplomatic mission from Panama, headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Janaina Tewaney Mencomo, and the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Federico Alfaro Boyd, traveled to Washington, DC to hold a series of meetings with officials americans.

The senior officials will hold meetings with officials from the State Department, the Department of Homeland Security, the Office of the US Trade Representative, the Treasury Department, as well as members of the House of Representatives.

Where they will address issues of migration, security, investment and progress that Panama has achieved in the fight against drug trafficking and money laundering.

Among other meetings, which are expected to take place with members of civil society and think tanks, the exchange with leaders of the Georgetown University Migration Institute, the Public Migration Institute, the World Bank, the Chamber of of Commerce, the Republican Institute, the Democratic Institute and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

The Ministers of State will finish their official mission next Friday, December 2, 2022.
