The Committee on the Elderly and Disability of the Chamber of Deputies and Deputies approved the dismissal of the parliamentarian Carolina Marzán (PPD) as president of the instance.
After the situation -which was not exempt from tense moments-, Marzán immediately left the presidency of the commission and in the next session the person who will replace her in office will be chosen.

In any case, the PPD militant will continue to exercise her role as a deputy in the same instance of the Lower House, but not presiding, but as a member with voice and vote.
The motion of censure was presented on November 22 by the deputy Catalina del Real (RN), and is part of an action outlined by the opposition parties, Chile Vamos, PDG and Republicans, to take control of 13 commissions of the Chamber of Deputies.
