The president of the Congress, Joseph Williamsconvened a Board of Spokespersons for this Tuesday, November 29 at 7:30 p.m. with the aim of evaluating the third vacancy motion against the president Pedro Castillo.
“You know that today a vacancy motion has been presented to the President of the Republic. So, we will have a meeting of spokespersons today, Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., “Williams said during the plenary session in which the Public Budget Law for the year 2023 is discussed.
The new request to dismiss the head of state was presented by the ungrouped legislator Edward Málaga. Despite the fact that the document has the signatures of 67 parliamentarians, the congressman affirms that “today we have a number that easily exceeds 87 votes”.
However, he warned that this number could decrease as the days go by: “We all know that wills change; Do not be surprised that the Executive, with this track record that it has of buying wills, is now beginning to try to capture some of the votes or signatures that we already had committed”.
