Traffic police in Nicaragua, on the "hunt" in December

The Vice President of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, announced that the Police at the service of the regime will be on all the roads of the country “caring for life” in the face of the increase in deaths in traffic accidents. The uniformed men will flood the main highways of the national territory.

Murillo showed his “concern” and described the accidents and deaths from this cause as “outrageous.” In addition, he instructed the Police to “evaluate and restore” the Road Safety Plan executed by the sanctioned institution of order, designated as responding to the interests of the couple in power.

«This is a season in which many of us circulate in a festive way, sometimes with drinks, drinks and we do not know how to drive responsibly and that is why we are restoring the entire Road Safety Plan that had been prepared; evaluating and relaunching, so that we take note of the accidents that have increased and where they have increased the most,” Murillo said in his monologue on Monday, November 28.

«914 traffic accidents and 21 deaths (in the last week), it is outrageous. It worries us a lot and we are responding from the National Police and the National Transit Directorate, restoring all the measures that are in the plan in case any had been left on paper, “added the vice president.

«They will see us on the roads, bridges, crossroads, taking care of life. Also calling on drivers to take care of life responsibly, not only of those who are in the vehicle, but of those who circulate nearby or of another vehicle, “he warned.

The truth is that traffic police are accused of asking drivers for “bites” so as not to fine them. Also, in various viral videos on social networks, the corrupt behavior of some traffic officers has been documented.
