SANTO DOMINGO.– Former President of the Republic Danilo Medina and president of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), swore in a commission of former PRM leaders from the San Cristóbal municipality, who, upon resigning from said party, decided to organize themselves in the PLD.
They officially become part of the purple party of the yellow star, assuming the commitment to work intensely for the victory of Pelede and Abel Martínez in the 2024 elections.
Freddy Rodríguez, community leader, Ariel Soto, PRM municipal youth leader, and Benjamín Ramírez, all together with their work teams, entered the PLD immediately established on its digital membership registration platform.
After the oath, the newly admitted members of the PLD spoke with President Danilo Medina and Rafael Hidalgo, a member of the Political Committee and head of the PLD’s Municipal Affairs Secretariat.
PLD councilors in San Cristóbal, Peniel Espinal and José Luis Núñez (Sindy) served as liaisons for the entry of these former PRM leaders into the PLD.
“The PLD is a strong party that grows every day with the addition of new men and women who become part of our organization,” said Peniel Espinal, assessing the step taken by the municipalities of San Cristóbal who are closing ranks in the Partido de Dominican Liberation.
