An argument between a couple culminated in the man’s 20-year-old son stabbing his stepmother. The event occurred this Saturday in the neighborhood of La Teja, in Montevideo.
The incident took place on Saturday afternoon in a house located in Pedro Giralt and José Mármol. Around 6:00 p.m., the Police received a complaint of domestic violence describing a woman wounded by a knife in her abdomen.
When the Police arrived at the site, they verified the situation. When talking to the 43-year-old victim, she said that she was arguing with her 57-year-old partner when his son took a knife and stabbed her.
At that moment, the young man was arrested and the weapon with which he carried out the attack was seized: a 20-centimeter knife.
The victim was transferred to the Cerro Coordinated Center, where she was treated. The woman is currently out of danger.
