With the arrival of the Virgin of Cotoca to the capital of Santa Cruz, this Sunday, the activities of celebration of his party, on December 8day of the Immaculate Conception of Mary.
Hundreds of parishioners gathered at the Cristo Redentor, at the end of the hot Sunday afternoon, to receive the ‘Mommy’ and accompany her, in procession to the Cathedral, where a Eucharist is celebrated.

“You are welcome. Move our hearts so that each one can follow the path that you indicate, which leads him to our Lord Jesus Christ, your son. Virgin Mary, you are welcome to this city of Santa Cruz”, a priest could be heard, upon the arrival of the ‘Mommy’.
People of different ages, both religious -among them the auxiliary bishop Bishop Stanislaus Dowlaszewicz and the vicar general, Fr. Juan Crespo- As lay people, they participated in the procession and accompanied with Marian songs and prayers.

The Virgin Cotoca, patron saint of eastern Bolivia, will stay until Monday in the Cathedral, where he will receive the visit of the faithful who want to pray to him. On Monday night, the image will be returned to its sanctuary.
From Tuesday 29 the ninth will be held in his honor; Every day, representatives of one of the different vicariates of the archdiocese will make a pilgrimage to Cotoca, as a sign of faith.
