She is currently an outstanding student at the Santiago de Cali University, where she has held the first positions in the Advertising career.
“My childhood was hard, because I was in the operating room all the timeno, he couldn’t be running like the other children. My parents never inhibited me, they encouraged me to be able to do things and they told me that my disability didn’t matter. I have a limitation that does not limit me, ”he narrated.
It was precisely the motivation of her parents and that integrity that characterizes her that led to Vicky Monroy, to venture into the world of beauty.
“All my life I liked taking photos, but I never thought that I could be a model, because I never had a referent of inclusion in the subject of fashion”, insisted.
“I always thought it was nice to see models, contests, catwalks, but I was getting very frustrated because I thought it couldn’t be like that. One day I dared to look for agencies for models with disabilities and I found a designer from Valle del Cauca who works a calendar for people with disabilities”, said Vicky.
The desire to follow her dreams led her to find a beauty pageant for women in wheelchairs.Miss Wheelchair World«.
