Betssy Chávez is the new president of the Council of Ministers and he already has his cabinet ready to govern. Prior to the appointment, the current representative of the PCM had served as Minister of Culture.
At 10 pm on Friday, November 25, President Pedro Castillo swore in the members of the Ministerial Cabinet led by Betssy Chávez.
There are 6 new income that will occupy the guardianship in the respective ministries. Among them are 2 congressmen and a former member of the Peru Libre party. They are Kelly Portalatino, a congressman who maintains her position as Minister of Health, and Silvana Robes, who now assumes the Culture portfolio.
In addition, Cinthya Lindo Espinoza joins the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion, replacing Dina Boluarte. Lindo is a former member of the party founded by Vladimir Cerrón.
Other changes occurred in the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation of Peru (Midagri), where Juan Altamirano Quispe joined; Ministry of Production, now assumed by Eduardo Mora; Ministry of Energy and Mines under the direction of Oliveiro Muñoz Cabrera and the Ministry of Women that will be led by Heidy Juárez (Podemos).

Betssy Chávez is a former member of Peru Libre and is currently being investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office for the alleged crimes of misuse of office and aggravated influence peddling.
