Carlos Bianco, chief adviser to the governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof.

Carlos Bianco, head of advisers to the governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, affirmed that the Buenos Aires prosecutor, Julio Conte Grand, has to explain “why he did not go to the bicameral intelligence commission” of the National Congress to inform on the denounced judicial table in the management of former governor María Eugenia Vidal.

“Conte Grand has to explain why he didn’t go to the bicameral intelligence commission,” Bianco told AM 750 radio.

In that sense, he recalled that “our political force presented a request for impeachment” and said that “we want at least an investigative commission to be enabled in the Buenos Aires Legislature to evaluate if he made any mistake in his function or in any crime, as it would seem. be the case because in the Gestapo video they say that they already had everything arranged with him”.

The head of advisers maintained that the prosecutor “should have appeared” before the Intelligence subcommittee of the National Congress that is investigating the existence of a Buenos Aires judicial table during the former governor’s administration, where he was summoned after the broadcast of a video that showed a 2017 meeting in which former Vidal officials, former directors of the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI) and businessmen analyzed strategies to build legal cases against referents of the La Plata construction union.

On the other hand, Bianco highlighted that during Vidal’s administration “preventable crimes”, such as robberies, thefts, murders and kidnappings “increased 83% according to official statistics” and maintained that during the administration of the Minister of Security, Sergio Berni, and Governor Kicillof managed to lower that number “by 25%”.

“It is insufficient, but it is a path of solution and work to improve the living conditions of the people of Buenos Aires”, he stressed.

Bianco also referred to the negotiations for the debt and pointed out that the government is willing to pay the foreign debt “as the Peronist governments always did,” but warned that it is necessary to “negotiate the terms and conditions.”

“It seems to me that Vidal and different referents of Together for Change, of the Pro and economists associated with that political force are wanting to make an incomprehensible concoction for the people by mixing debt in local currency with foreign currency,” he warned.

In this context, he pointed out that “the problem today is not the intra-State debt, nor in pesos in the local market”, but the debt in dollars “that former President Mauricio Macri took on with private creditors and with the IMF, but which they seek to do a mess so that people get confused”, since “they cannot explain why or what for”.

“The situation is complex and this complexity has to do with the debt that the previous government took irresponsibly and probably unnecessarily if it had followed the economic policies that were appropriate at the time,” Bianco added.
