A large part of Córdoba, San Luis, Mendoza, San Juan and Catamarca are under a yellow alert due to extreme temperatures due to heat, with predicted maximums of between 38 and 40 degrees, according to the National Meteorological Service (SMN).

High temperatures are also expected in the mountain range of Neuquén; in the La Rioja departments of Chamical, General Belgrano and General Ocampo; the south of Santa Fe (Caseros, General López); the Buenos Aires localities of General Villegas, Florentino Ameghino and Rivadavia; and the west of Entre Ríos, including the capital city.

According to the 8-hour temperature ranking published by the SMN, the cities of San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, San Luis and La Rioja They top the list with 28 degrees, where maximums were expected for this Friday of between 38 and 39 degrees.

For the city of Córdoba, a maximum of 40 degrees is forecast for the day and at 8 hours it was already registering 26 degrees.

On the other hand, the SMN maintains a yellow alert due to strong winds for Chubut, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego and by storms accompanied by strong gusts, occasional hail and electrical activity in the lower area of ​​Malargüe.

For In the Patagonian area, winds are expected from the west sector, with speeds between 55 and 75 kilometers per hour and gusts that can exceed 90 kilometers per hour, For this reason, the meteorological agency recommended that residents avoid outdoor activities and ensure items that can be blown up.
