The students of the Universidad Politécnica Paraguay – Taiwan must endure precariousness due to the lack of good facilities to teach classes. University students also claim unsanitary conditions.

Small rooms, without ventilation (they do not have fans or air conditioning) and few toilets; this is the situation Polytechnic University Paraguay – Taiwanwhich currently works on the property ceded by the Army Communications Command, in the city of Asunción.

The students continue to complain to the academic authorities about the lack of adequate facilities and as a measure of pressure, they are not going to teach.

The house of studies lacks its own headquarters, for this reason currently It must work in a military barracks, which does not have the necessary measures to guarantee student welfare.

According to the testimonies collected, the university students have to put up with the unsanitary conditions in that place and that they even had to contribute to the purchase of fans.

To all of the above is added the new resolution that establishes the new tariffs for students attending that educational institution.

The current tariffs, according to the resolution of August 9, 2022are the following: G. 1,300,000 for transfer enrollment, 1,100,000 for late enrollment payment, 1 million for entrance exam, 1 million for ordinary enrollment and 1 million for induction course enrollment.

For the career change, G. 200,000 must be paid, for the right to final exam of degree work, 250,000 must be paid and for the degree title, 150,000. While the fee for academic record, certificate of grades, record of registration by subject, validation by subject and certificates of graduate studies is 100 thousand each.

The review of the exam costs G. 40 thousand, the authentication of the file, 50 thousand; study program, 35 thousand; right to ordinary examination, 50 thousand; right to extraordinary examination, 70 thousand; fine for withdrawal of matter, 25 thousand; university ID, 20 thousand; and a fine for late return of library books, 6 thousand.
