The President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, indicated on Thursday, November 24, his desire that the reactivation of the dialogue between the ruling party and the Venezuelan opposition give “good results” and highlighted his country’s intention to make efforts to seek peace. .
“We want solutions to be sought, Mexico will always help to seek peace, to avoid confrontation, confrontation and this is everyone’s home and we appreciate that they have that trust in us to come here to carry out these dialogues that we want give good results,” López Obrador said.
He did stress that Mexico will only put, without any leadership role, some basic conditions that must be respected for the dialogue to be carried out normally to promote understanding and reach agreements in favor of Venezuelans.
For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, Marcelo Ebrad, stated that his country supports the reactivation of the dialogue between the ruling party and the Venezuelan opposition on Saturday the 26th, but clarified that they will not be actively participating in it.
“We do not participate directly in the dialogue, of course we support the dialogue, but we will not be there during the talks,” Ebrard clarified, adding that details of meeting schedules and other information cannot be given due to the sensitivity of the situation. since one must act with prudence.

Similarly, the Mexican foreign minister indicated that what they are looking for is for Venezuelans to find a “reliable space” to dialogue, just as he stressed that he does not know the time in which the first session of these meetings can end.

The Kingdom of Norway, through its embassy in Mexico, confirmed the dialog process restart and negotiation between the administration of Nicolás Maduro and the Venezuelan opposition, meeting under the Unitary Platform, next Saturday, November 26 in Mexico City.
In a message on its Twitter account, Norway indicated that on that day both parties “will sign a partial agreement on social matters.” According to sources confirmed to the Bloomberg news agency, said agreement would allow the unlocking of 2.7 billion dollars in funds deposited in international accounts and administered by the UN.
Given this announcement, both the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, and the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, gave their approval to dialogue.
