Ukrainian diplomat accuses “left-wing Chilean parliamentarians” of preventing Zelensky’s speech before the National Congress

The head of the mission of the Ukrainian Embassy in Chile, Vladyslav Bohorad, denounced that “some leftist deputies and senators do not authorize a speech by President Volodomir Zelensky.” However, from the Communist Party they indicated that “we have not seen anything based on this situation.”

in conversation with The Mercurythe diplomat said that almost three months ago he asked the National Congress for an instance for the Ukrainian president to speak by videoconference from kyiv.

As a result of the Russian invasion, deputy María Candelaria Acevedo (PC) stated that “we disagree that the powers reach other countries in this way to this destabilization.” Regarding the diplomat’s statements, the parliamentarian pointed out that “in our bench we have not talked, we have not seen anything based on this situation.”

“If there are any rumors or comments, we have to discard that, because first we have to talk about it and I think there would be no problem in that sense of being able to accept a situation like this. Those who want will go; at least on the bench of the Communist Party we have not seen it,” he added.
