Santo Domingo.- The CEO of Dominican Agrarian Institute (IAD), Francis William Garcia announced that for this year 2022 the institution will launch various projects and contemplates the delivery of 10 thousand definitive titles in support of the parceleros of the Agrarian reform with a view to better performance of field work.
The director stated that within this delivery it is expected that the institution will soon be giving 600 property titles for new projects in the municipality of Tamayo, which may be irrigated with the dam great mountain when it’s ready.
“The plan is not only to hand over the land, it is to make it productive and profitable, the idea is that these farmers can change their lives and become agricultural entrepreneurs, that is the vision of the president Luis Abinader and at the IAD with the creation of the cooperatives we will develop all those business plans”, he specified Garcia.
He revealed that in the present administration of Louis Abinader Some 20,000 definitive property titles have been delivered, a task in which the IAD has worked in combination with the Permanent Commission for Land Titling of the Condition.
Likewise, he said that more than 100 kilometers of interparcelario roads will be enabled, with the purpose of facilitating the transport of the products harvested in the different settlements at the national level.
“During the next week we will begin the preparation of 320,000 free land tasks for the planting of different items in order to contribute to the country’s food security,” said the official during an interview on the Revista 110 program.
On the other hand, García explained that for greater efficiency and use of water they will be equipping solar systems and electric pumps those settlements that work with diesel systems.

In each of the settlements we are establishing agricultural professionals so that in this way they can develop their techniques and share them with the other farmers near their land.

This 2022, the goal of the IAD is to deliver 10,000 definitive titles, to parceleros who will become legitimate owners of their properties and will turn them into credit agents, titles that return smiles and hope to the most dispossessed in the country, García pointed out.
