One of the explosives from the criminal structure that operated at Cota 905 was killed during a confrontation with members of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), according to data obtained from the security agency.
The scuffle occurred in Campo Mata, Pedro María Freites municipality (Cantaura), Anzoátegui, where alias El Gordo Virolo, who possessed a short firearm, was shot dead.
This subject participated in the grenade attack to the PNB module located in the Las Brisas sector, Cota 905, where a criminal structure known as Banda del Koki.
The aforementioned attack occurred on May 20, where two police officers were injured. Apparently the subjects wanted to regain control of Cota 905, as ordered by the leaders Carlos Calderón (El Vampi), Garbis Ochoa (El Garbis) and Carlos Revette (El Koki). The latter was killed on February 8 during a confrontation with Cicpc agents in Las Tejerías, Aragua.
Alias El Gordo Virolo also participated in the murder of two officials of the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim), which occurred in the El Naranjal sector, Cota 905, on February 14, 2019, according to records.
The subject had become shelled in Cantaura (Anzoátegui), after the so-called Banda del Koki was dismantled in June 2021 through the operation Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro I, as reported at the time by the then Minister of the Interior, Carmen Meléndez.
