Woman points out harassment of Pablo Milanés after his death

A woman from Ecuador denounced on social networks that she suffered harassment by Pablo Milanés, when she was a minor, after the death of the Cuban singer-songwriter was made known.

Through her Twitter account, the woman whose name is María Fernanda Wray wrote an extensive message in which she spoke of her sad experience with the prolific musician and added that it will be the only time she will address the issue.

“I encourage you to put it here so that it is known that the great artists, our revolutionary idols, those consistent men, from the left, can also be harassers. Pablo Milanés was 43, I was 17 ”, expressed Wray in his post.

In her story, she mentions a person named Lázaro Torres, who summoned her to a hotel in Quito, where she would have a meeting with the singer-songwriter, for which she assumed it was to talk about a scholarship to study film in Cuba, she also had no reasons to distrust other intentions.

“Don’t you dare tell him no, don’t you dare disappoint him. Lázaro closed the door and I stayed in the room alone with Pablo Milanés. I thought we would go to breakfast, but he immediately led me through the corridors to a room. I did not understand anything. There he was sitting, in a chair in his room: ‘it’s good that you came,’ he told me, ”he recounted.

“I was clumsy. Very clumsy. She tried to kiss me. She groped me for seconds. He had no physical strength, despite being a robust man, ”said the communication specialist, who said she tried to push him away and succeeded thanks to the fact that Milanés was not in good health at that time.

“He begged me, as he tried to touch me, totally out of it. He told me that he was in love with me, that he wanted to take me to Cuba. I got up. He held my hands firmly ‘you can’t leave’ (he told me). I got away. I left the room. I started crying while I was going back in a taxi to my house”.

After that meeting, he did not see Pablo again, although he confessed that he continued to live with his musicians. Pablo Milanés died in Spain at the age of 79 as a result of various complications in his health.
