The President of the Republic Jair Bolsonaro landed at Congonhas Airport, in São Paulo, early this afternoon (21) and boarded a helicopter to the city of Eldorado, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, where he will accompany the wake and burial of his mother. , Olinda Bonturi Bolsonaro, who passed away this morning. 
The helicopter landed in Eldorado around 3:20 pm. Upon disembarking, the president followed by car to the place of the wake, accompanied by his wife, Michelle Bolsonaro, and son Flávio Bolsonaro. Burial is scheduled for 5 pm today at the local cemetery.
Bolsonaro was on official engagement in Suriname, from where he would leave for Guyana. Upon learning of his mother’s death, he canceled his commitments and returned to Brazil.
On social media, the president posted a video of his last meeting with his mother, in which he held her hands and she laughed. Flávio Bolsonaro also posted a video with photos of his grandmother and thanked him. “Grandma, look after us there with God. Thank you so much for everything,” he wrote.

The mayor of the tourist resort of Eldorado, Dinoel Pedroso Rocha, declared official mourning and mourned the death of the president’s mother. “At this moment, we join all friends and family, expressing our solidarity.
