Boric arrived on Tuesday afternoon in Mexican territory to hold a two-day work visit in Mexico.
Originally his visit would take place within the framework of the Summit of the Pacific Alliance, which was canceled because the Peruvian Congress did not authorize President Pedro Castillo to leave the country, who would receive the presidency of the mechanism.
Upon his arrival at the National Palace, the president asked his counterpart to go through the door of honor to greet the Mexicans who were in the Plaza de la Constitución.
Both leaders walked through the courtyard of honor where a ceremony was held to welcome the South American president. The Mexican and Chilean national anthems were sung at the event.
At 5:30 p.m., a joint message from President López Obrador and President Boric is planned at the National Palace.
