Economic activity as a whole grew 4.8% during September in relation to the same month last year, while marking a decline of 0.3% compared to August, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) reported on Wednesday. .
In this way, in the first nine months of the year, the Monthly Estimator of Economic Activity (EMAE) accumulated a rise of 6.2%.

The EMAE, which brings together several of the components that make up the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), registered increases in 13 of the 16 sectors that comprise it in September.
Among the increases, those of Hotels and restaurants stood out, with an increase of 30.3% year-on-year and a contribution of 0.35 percentage points in the improvement of the indicator.
Another item was Exploitation of mines and quarries, with an increase of 14.2% and 0.45 percentage points; followed by Construction, with 7.2% and 0.24 percentage points.
With the same trend, the activity in Wholesale, retail and repair trade rose 7%, and was the one with the highest incidence in the interannual variation of the EMAE, since it contributed 0.94 percentage points of the 4.8% increase marked by the indicator at overall level
Lastly, the activity of the manufacturing industry increased 4.1%; and Real estate, business and rental activities marked an advance of 5.1%.
