They closed an illegal dog kennel in Villa Urquiza

During the search, they found 22 dogs, including 10 French Bulldog, German Shepherd and Dachshund puppies.

An illegal kennel with 22 dogs of different breeds was closed this Wednesday in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Villa Urquiza, where the animals were found “caged in small spaces”, and the person in charge of the place was accused of “omission of collections”, reported the Public Ministry of the City of Buenos Aires.

Based on complaints received, prosecutor Carlos Rolero Santurian entrusted the investigation to the Judicial Investigation Corps (CIJ) of the City Public Ministry, which was able to verify the existence of the illegal hatchery.

The Specialized Fiscal Unit for Environmental Matters (Ufema), the Canes Division of the City Police and the Environmental Protection Agency participated in the operation.

During the search, they found 22 dogs, including 10 puppies, of the French Bulldog, German Shepherd and Dachshund breeds, popularly known as “dachshund”, which remained caged in small spaces.

The intervening prosecutor accused the person in charge of the hatchery “for omission of collections and maintenance in inadequate conditions”, according to Law 6,173 of CABA for the Protection and Care of Domestic Animals.
