Former Attorney of the Republic Francisco Dominguez Brito came out in front of the statements issued by the president Luis Abander, who stated that he agrees to investigate whether there was corruption in the conception of the Thermoelectric Power Plant Catalina Point.

He explained that, on the recommendation of the Liquidation Commission of the Dominican Corporation of State Electric Companies, the Government ordered the constitution of the Central Thermoelectric Public Trust, with which it seeks to preserve and optimize the investment, administration, operation and source of payment of the plants, which does not constitute a privatization.
