The High Level Group of the Organization of American States (OAS) He called on all the political actors in the country to dialogue after concluding his visit and talking with the representatives of the main Peruvian institutions in the face of the crisis.

Next, the working group indicated that it will prepare a report with the analysis of the country’s situation and present it to the OAS Permanent Council to fulfill the mandate they received.

The members of this group arrived in Peru last Sunday, November 20, and on Monday and Tuesday they held meetings with the heads of the three branches of government. In addition to them, they have met with the National Prosecutor, Patricia Benavidesand congressmen from various benches.
It should be noted that the visit follows the request of the Castillo Terrones government to activate the Inter-American Democratic Charter, alleging that the constitutional complaint filed by the National Prosecutor’s Office against him represented a “threat to democracy”.
