With an initial investment of 15 million dollars, the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Penainaugurated the recovery and filling plant vermont sanitarywith the objective of carrying out the integral management of urban solid waste in the province of La Altagracia.
The vice president explained in a press document that this inauguration is the result of the project presented by the Executive Directorate of the Public-Private Trust for Comprehensive Waste Management.

The president of the Investment Promotion Cabinet assured that the government of Luis Abinader is promoting public policies in favor of the environment and citizenship, in order to guarantee the sustainability of the economic model and raise the quality of life of the population.
He stressed that the high generation of solid waste is one of the major environmental and health problems, which not only generate an unpleasant image in our towns, but also contaminate and occupy large spaces, turning them into a social and public health problem.
