Athlete Cristian Ribera won, this Saturday morning (22), in Lillehammer, Norway, the silver medal at the World Paralympic Snow Sports Championships. Ribeira took the medal in the sprint of cross country skiing, with a time of 2 minutes, 24 seconds and 93 hundredths.

In the decision, with a time of 2 minutes, 41 seconds and 5 tenths, Ribeira was only behind Russian Ivan Golubov, with 2 minutes, 40 seconds and 5 tenths. On Tuesday (18), the athlete had already placed sixth in the long-distance race (18 km), with a mark of 52 minutes, 37 seconds and 4 tenths.
Ribeira, born with arthrogryposis, a congenital disease of the joints of the extremities, is one of the six athletes who will represent Brazil at the Winter Paralympics in Beijing from March 4th to 13th this year.
