The Football Museum has prepared a special schedule for the period of the 2022 World Cup, offering several spaces for live transmission of all the championship games. The Brazilian games can be followed for free by the public on LED screens in the external area of the museum, under the façade of the Pacaembu Stadium, and in the Great Area room, right at the entrance of the museum.
The program also features the exhibition of games in the Jogo de Corpo room. The place is at the end of the exhibition and has a kind of bleachers. In this case, it is necessary to buy a ticket, subject to the capacity of the room. For the game between Brazil and Switzerland, on Monday (28), the museum will only be open exceptionally for the broadcast 2 hours before the match.
On matchdays for the Brazilian team, there will also be samba circles before the matches and during halftime, with the group O Samba Chega. During the period of the World Cup, the museum also carries out the campaign Chuteira para Todos, encouraging visitors to donate used football boots in good condition. The used boot is worth a free entry to the Football Museum. The material will be sent to two social projects in São Paulo that work with football. Perifeminas and FutVida (Parelheiros) and the indigenous quilombo Tiririca dos Crioulos (backlands of Pernambuco) will benefit.
To get in the mood for the World Cup, the Football Museum will also have the Second Half, from the temporary exhibition 22 em Campo. New exhibition content related to Qatar will be included in the exhibition.
