A 27 year old police officer was kidnapped this Monday afternoon in the Parque Guaraní neighborhood of Montevideo. He had agreed a meeting point in Ñacurutú and Timbó streets, where they shot him Y he was wounded in the chest. She was dressed privately.
It happened around 5:00 p.m. on Monday. After a call to 911, a policeman arrived at the scene observing him leaning on a car, without his regulation weapon. He was transferred to the Police Hospital where he is stable and conscious.
According to what he himself told the troops, a man approached him and stole his service weapon and his motorcycle, an NK300 that he owned. It is from the year 2019 and had 11,500 kilometers.
A 9-millimeter firearm sheath was left at the scene. The police and the prosecutor’s office are looking for images from video surveillance cameras of individuals.
The motorcycle was found later: it was on fire and abandoned in the area of the neighborhood 40 weeks.
