Award to the Women's Leadership program on Boards of Directors

The Women’s Leadership program on Boards of Directors led by Cesa’s Center for Studies in Corporate Governance, won the award in the Excellence for Governance category delivered by the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN).

This network is an independent institution that promotes best practices in corporate governancedistinguishing people or organizations that have made achievements in this regard around the world.

Emilia Restrepo, rector of Cesa, received the award from George Dallas, ICGN Policy Director, at a ceremony held in London.

“We are very happy to receive this recognition. We have seen the power of the work we are doing and the change in the lives of the women we work with, not only professionally but also personally. We have obtained positions for them in the main companies in the country and caused a change in the Colombian business sector, which is now increasingly aware of the importance of gender diversity in leadership roles ”, she expressed.

Likewise, he considered that this award is the product of a path of almost 13 years, traced and traveled by the Center for Studies in Corporate Governance (CEGC) of Cesa for applied research, training and support in the implementation of good practices in corporate governance, that has allowed the program to be a reference inside and outside the country.

Likewise, it is an endorsement of the work carried out with various partner organizations: Andi, Aequales, Deloitte, the Colombian Institute of Corporate Governance, IFC of the World Bank Group and SECO, Orza, Page Executive, Women In Connection and the 30% Club.
