The National Commission against 135 articles of the LUC chose the publicist and journalist Esteban Valenti to lead the publicity campaign for the “Yes” to the repeal of 135 articles of the LUC.
The election of Valenti, by the Campaign Command was unanimously, according to Underlined.
The mandatory referendum will be held on Sunday, March 27.
Trajectory
Valenti was at the forefront of the communication and publicity of the electoral campaign that in 1989 consecrated Tabaré Vázquez as the first mayor of the left in Montevideo.
He was also responsible for the electoral campaign that led to Vázquez becoming President of the Republic in 2005.
Valenti was also in charge of the campaign of the so-called “Green Vote” against the Expiration Law of the Punitive Claim of the State, in 1989. As well as the “Yes” campaign against five articles of the Public Companies Law, in 1992.
