The weighing of the drug continues; the cargo was in transit, bound for Antwerp and Russia

A shipment of at least 700 kilos of cocaine was seized this Monday at the Montevideo portinformed sources of the case to The Observer. Port officials are still weighing the drug to find out the exact weight.
The drug was transported in a container that had arrived in Uruguay from Paraguay. As reported Telemundo (channel 12), the container was destined for Russia, although it made a stopover in Antwerp (Belgium).
Customs, Prefecture and Prosecutor’s Office officials work at the site. The prosecutor in charge of the case is Mónica Ferrero.
