Journalists will be declared ‘Deserving Sons of the District of Panama’

Five Panamanian journalists will receive a tribute from the Municipal Council of Panama to highlight their special contribution to Panamanian society, in an act that will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 10:00 am, at the Municipal Palace.
The ceremony will take place within the framework of the ordinary session of the Municipal Council, with the participation of these social communicators, who will be declared ‘Deserving Sons of the District of Panama’.

The journalists who will be distinguished are: Elizabeth Muñoz de Lao, Eduardo Soto, Blanca Gómez, Víctor de La Hoz and Filemón Medina, all recognized for their extensive career in national journalism and their contribution to the development of society in the capital.

For the President of the Municipal Council Ramón Ashby, this tribute is not accidental, on the contrary, it is well deserved and for that reason we are all here; we must mature and accept that the role of journalists also helps us to improve our responsibilities, aimed at giving the best for our society.

«It is there that our paths meet, since your informative work allows us to know not only your way of thinking, but also serves as a direct reflection of what people feel and think, those without a voice who have no other recourse. to those who report every day, everything that happens in the country, for this reason this recognition is made to 5 illustrious citizens with it all the communicators of Panama”, he highlighted.
