The events reportedly occurred after a group of men from the Segunda Marquetalia who were staying in a camp were attacked by men from the Carolina Ramírez Front.
The bodies would have been transferred to the municipal cemetery.
It is presumed that the dead could be from both groups.
The situation would have caused the displacement of dozens of families from sectors known as Las Perlas.
After what happened, the Putumayo Government Secretariat indicated that an extraordinary council will be held in the next few hours to assess the situation in the area.

The Army report indicates that dissident armed groups “dispute by blood and fire the territory of the middle and lower Putumayo, for control of the illicit drug-trafficking business.”
