Luis Arce Catacora is playing at being a juggler, but a suicidal juggler, because he has in his hands and in the air, three dynamites with their fuses lit: the census, the economic crisis and his break with Evo Morales.
He is seen to be careless, or inexperienced, because he was on the verge of losing one of the dynamites more than once, in dramatic moments that were concealed only by propaganda and the news about the other two dynamites.
It is not known which of the dynamites has the shortest fuse, but that hardly matters because the end result will be the same, whichever charge goes off first.
The biggest load is the cartridge of the economic crisis, but the juggler does not seem to know it, as if he were confident that this time too, as happened in 2008, external phenomena will come to take the chestnuts out of the fire.
He does not know that China, which then caused the boom in the prices of raw materials when he did not know what to do with the economy, now not only does not help, but fuels the disaster.
The Chinese who have invaded Bolivia, convinced that the “change process” created a failed state, are now one of the causes for the indignation of Bolivians, for the things they are doing in the places where they exploit gold.
This juggler has handled the dynamite of the census with almost indifference, leaving in the hands of the servile and perverse policemen the protection of the shock groups sent to Santa Cruz to commit outrages, which was also an oversight.
This juggler apprentice forgot that he is playing politics, with presumed intentions of running for office, and that his attitude in Santa Cruz was showing him as a soulless dictator who, of course, cannot wait for anyone’s votes.
What reinforces the suspicion that, in reality, the masistas do not care about the votes of the people, but the fictitious results that the fraud throws up. They dispense with the voters.
And finally, there is the cartridge of his break with the cocalero Morales. This dynamite is the most neglected. He has not realized that if he bets on breaking with the MAS and taking shelter under the acronym of PS-1, he would have to know if his shelter has legal status or not, which he does not.
The entire Morales propaganda apparatus has decided to call Arce a “traitor,” something that may not be so negative for his image, given the people’s rejection of the coca grower.
It is probable that the juggler ends badly, by angas or by sleeves. His contribution to the country will have been to have shown the magnitude of the disaster that the MAS can cause.
