Juan Pablo Guanipa was besieged by pro-government groups that tried to attack him in Trujillo

Juan Pablo Guanipa blames “the dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro and the governor of Trujillo for this unjustified violence. Violence will never be able to stop change and transformation in Venezuela,” he wrote on Instagram. Groups affiliated with the PSUV entered the headquarters of the Anticancer Society, where the event was taking place, and attacked them with words, blows, and even threw chairs.

The first vice president of the National Assembly (AN) elected in 2015, Juan Pablo Guanipa, and Primero Justicia candidate for the presidential primaries, denounced that this Saturday, November 19, a violent group of followers of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) tried to prevent his tour of the city of Valera, in the state of Trujillo, and surrounded more of 70 followers who were in the act, preventing the exit of the place.

Guanipa explained that “a group of armed and violent people have tried, at the beginning of the meeting and at the end, to attack us for absolutely no reason. They are orders issued by the governor of this state, Gerardo Marquez. Here is Justice First, we are determined to fight for Venezuela to be a free, democratic, plural country; where people can say what they want to say and not have to be attacked for saying what they think. He emphasized that they are not afraid.

Juan Pablo Guanipa blames “the dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro and the governor of Trujillo for this unjustified violence. Violence will never be able to stop change and transformation in Venezuela,” he wrote in instagram.

In a tweet, Juan Pablo Guanipa said that the only thing the PSUV knows how to do is use violence as a political tool “to try to intimidate a people who are determined to recover their freedom.” In Guanipa’s opinion, the violent are a minority.

Videos of the attack and the irruption of the presumed official supporters to the headquarters of the Trujillo State Anticancer Society were broadcast on social networks, where the act was carried out and it is observed that a group of violent people began to insult, push, hit and to throw chairs at the leaders and supporters of Primero Justicia.
