The National Social Security Council (CNSS) met to discuss the profiles of the candidates proposed to occupy the position of superintendent of Pensions. The shortlist approved yesterday by resolution No. 558-01 includes three state-functional economists.
In the resolution are proposed to Jeffrey Lizardogeneral director of the Single System of Beneficiaries (siuben), Francisco Torres, Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) and Juan Jiménez, technical coordinator of the Superintendency of Pensions (sipen) to occupy the position.
The sipen is the institution that must ensure the social security rights of the affiliates Y beneficiaries of the Dominican Republic pension system.
On October 5 of this 2022 the last period management of Ramón Emilio Contreras Genao, who held the position since 2014, after being appointed and subsequently ratified for four more years by past President Danilo Medina.
Jeffrey Rafael Lizardo Ortiz (siuben)

In his professional portfolio some experiences in the private sector stand out. He has been founder, CEO and chief investment strategist of Towers Capital Group, as well as financial advisor to Dominican companies in the sectors of: construction, commerce, health, finance, tourism, among others.
The web portal of the DGIIindicates that he was head of the Division of Macroeconomic Models of the central bank of the Dominican Republic, in charge of the projection of key macroeconomic variables and policy recommendations of the direction of the Department of Monetary Programming and Economic Studies.
Juan Carlos Jimenez (sipen)
Juan Jimenez, He is currently the technical coordinator of the Superintendency of Pensions (sipen), specialized in banking, financial and pension sector issues in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Spain and Uruguay.
