With a total investment of more than S/ 4.1 million, the Emapacop company, temporarily managed by the Technical Agency of the Sanitation Services Administration (Otass), has been executing two important projects that will optimize the drinking water service in Pucallpa, in favor of 121,640 residents.
This was announced by the executive director of the organization, Héctor Barreda Domínguez, during a working visit to the capital of the Ucayali region, in which he carried out an inspection and presentation of the new Pucallpillo II catchment pond, through which supplies drinking water to 70% of the population.
The construction of the pond was carried out in 99 days, and its commissioning required a total investment of S/1’788,493, financed with resources directly collected by the EPS.
Emapacop is one of the 18 companies that provide drinking water and sewerage services temporarily managed by Otass, the executing technical arm of the Ministry of Housing, through the RAT, with the aim of providing them with technical and financial assistance.
Water for Sector 14
Work began on a deep water underground collection system, which will benefit 9,640 residents of Sector 14, in the Manantay district.
The work, which must be carried out in five months, requires a total investment of S/ 2’340,872, financed with transfers made by the Otass in favor of the EPS.
The works will be carried out on a 170 m2 piece of land ceded by the Provincial Municipality of Coronel Portillo.
