The discovery occurred in a gap that leads to the Grijalva River, in a mountainous area.
During the review of the place, the agents observed the presence of migrants of different nationalities who were provided with water and immediate medical assistance.
Among the people rescued are 217 Guatemalans; 85 Nicaraguans; 45 Ecuadorians; 11 Hondurans; seven Salvadorans, three Cubans.
Elements of the National Institute of Migration coordinated the assistance of the migrants and organized their transfer to the Center for Attention to Border Transit in the state.
According to Mexican authorities, migrants will receive consular assistance to define their legal status and, where appropriate, proceed with their assisted return.
