Before the body of citizen Stanislado Solís was buried, family members took photos of him to record the bruises on his ear and right eyebrow, the large scratches on his right shoulder, ribs, and right hip. “I did this because at the time they gave notice that Stanislado died, the León Police appeared with the forensic doctor and determined that it was a natural death. They said they found no signs of violence,” says Adán López, uncle of the deceased.
“Tano”, as he was popularly called in the town of Telica, was much loved for his fun and jocular behavior, he had just turned 52 years old. Many who saw him hours before his death say that he went to the Cúrate Pharmacy, located south of the corner of the Claro offices in that municipality.

“He passed by, I heard that he was singing those romantic ballads that he liked, I asked him where he was going and he replied: I’m going to buy some candies,” shares a witness, who asked to speak on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals from the police. We will not accept the forensic opinion
According to other witnesses, at the moment that “Tano” was going in search of the candies, the coming and going of the vehicles, gunpowder and the shouting of the Ortega fans who celebrated the rigged victory that the Sandinista party achieved in municipal votes.
Everything indicated that a Sandinista caravan with people on foot, on motorcycles and in vehicles was approaching. At about 2:10 in the morning on Monday, November 7, 2022, they gave notice that “Tano” was dead on the corner of Telcor, in a fetal position and blood emanating from his left ear and nostrils. “His mother is old and the loss has affected him greatly,” they commented.
The brothers of “Tano” have expressed impotence upon learning what was said by the forensic doctor. “They said that he died of the liver that morning of November 7, 2022, and a day ago they changed their version and have stated that he had a myocardial infarction. The people of Telica are afraid to speak out for fear of reprisals; That is why I dare to express the injustice that they have done to my relative, I will not take silence with me to the grave,” said López.

Friends and acquaintances of the deceased have expressed on their social networks that pain and impotence invade them, seeing that many of those who participated in that caravan walk as if nothing had happened, who have asked the local media not to misrepresent the death of “Tano”, since he did not die of natural causes.
Those affected suggest that there are guilty, there is responsible: A driver who was carrying people celebrating the triumph of the re-elected figures of the Telica Municipal Council, who allegedly ran over him and continued in the caravan as if he had done nothing.
Tension in the town of Telica
Telica is located about 10 kilometers north of the city of León, where there is an atmosphere of secrecy and tension, since the witnesses to the accident feel that if they speak up, reprisals will be taken against them and their family.
The way in which Stanislado died has made many people in this municipality of León unhappy.
“The death of my family member remains uncertain, many out of fear say they have not seen anything and I wonder: where are the local journalists? where are the radio media? where are the human rights defenders from Telica? I feel very powerless, many saw it all and they do not help me to ask for justice”, expresses the teacher of experience.
López, works as a technician for the Ministry of Education (Mined) in Telica, León and has expressed that he is not afraid of any retaliation against him and that he will continue to ask that the death of his nephew be clarified and that the guilty pay.
Some inhabitants of the municipality of Telica, under their discretion, ask that the case not be left unpunished, because there was a criminal hand. For an extreme minority, November 7th brought joy, but for the majority it became a date of tragedy, mourning, pain and injustice.
