The national director of the INE, Iván Ojeda, reported at a press conference that, according to preliminary reports based on the count carried out until this Friday, November 18, in nine continuous days of the data recovery stage that began on November 10, the coverage Preliminary survey of the National Population and Housing Census in urban areas reached 94.0% at the country level.
He mentioned that this percentage is achieved thanks to the massive departure of INE brigades, with the help of contingents of military and police officers who, since Thursday 10 and to date, have been covering large areas both in Asunción, as well as in the Central and Alto Paraná departments. .
He stressed that the data recovery stage continues until November 24 and that this weekend of November 19 and 20Once again, there will be massive support from contingents of military and police officers in various neighborhoods of Asunción and Central.
Ojeda also indicated that on the day of the Census, on November 9, the preliminary coverage achieved in urban areas was 84.2%, which in itself was a very good percentage in relation to coverage in previous censuses. This percentage rose to 87.3% on November 13, and as of November 18, preliminary coverage reaches 94%. The daily departure of brigades to the neighborhoods that the INE has identified as lacking coverage makes these historic results possible even before the Census officially concludes.

Reports indicate that in the rest of the country preliminary coverage in urban areas reaches 100% in the departments of Concepción, Cordillera, Guairá, Caazapá, Itapúa and Misiones. At the level of 99% coverage are the departments of San Pedro, Canindejú, Presidente Hayes and Amambay. On the other hand, 98% are in the departments of Alto Paraguay and Caaguazú. At a level of 93% are Paraguarí and Central, as well as 92% was reached in Boquerón. Asunción is at 91% coverage, Ñeembucú at 90% and Alto Paraná at just over 85%.
Central Department
At the level of the Central department, the municipalities with 100% coverage in urban areas are: Guarambaré, Itá, Nueva Italia, Ñemby, San Antonio, Villa Elisa, Villeta, Ypacarai and J.Augusto Saldívar. Mariano Roque Alonso registers 98% coverage. San Lorenzo and Fernando de la Mora reach 94%, while Areguá has 91% coverage. Lambaré reaches 89%, Itauguá, Luque and Limpio 88%, Capiatá 80% and Ypané reaches 77%.
Volunteering
Other outstanding data from the preliminary report on the National Census is that a total of 219,521 people were trained for the entire census structure. Of those, a total of 135,425 people participated in the census day of November 9 as census takers and supervisors.
All these people are being credited the amount corresponding to the travel allowance for the work performed that day. The total amount disbursed by the INE for these payments amounts to a total of 17,028 million guaraníes.
It was also reported that they are ready to download the certificates for all the volunteers who effectively participated in the data collection.
Regarding the composition of the volunteers, it is found that the highest percentages correspond to high school graduates and university students. It is also reported that 89.2% of the volunteers are citizens who have registered to participate in the Census. Public officials participated in 5.8% and the educational sector 5.0%.
Regarding coverage for data recovery, in Asunción has 35 teams to cover the neighborhoods where it has yet to reach, while in Central there are 85 teams and in Alto Paraná 17 teams.
