This Thursday the launch of the LATAM Pro Gamers League (LAPGL) 2023 was held in Panama City, a regional esports league, aimed at the general public and the Latin American market, where gamers can compete from the comfort of their home and win an all-paid trip to the Grand Final venue in Panama, as well as incredible cash prizes.
Hiram Cañizales, Panamanian businessman in the digital entertainment industry and director of the Latin American Pro Gamers League (LAPGL), explained that Panama seeks to become an Esports Hub. The league unites the region’s gamers under a single identity, offering for the first time the space they have been waiting for so long, where they can demonstrate their skills and obtain the recognition they deserve, becoming the heroes that will represent their country before others. competitors in the region.
LATAM Pro Gamers League (LAPGL) 2023 will be played simultaneously in different Latin American countries. Players from Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Colombia and of course Panama will participate.
The company that will carry out the international competition will be LAPGL Corp., a technology company focused on the digital entertainment industry that has more than 15 years of experience carrying out activities in this industry.
It currently has a digital platform called GAMELOBBY, which allows gamers to compete from the comfort of their home through a results validation system.

“Latin America is a very broad market, but highly segmented, which is why, to date, esports competitions are limited to a few countries and with a focus on the professional player. Faced with this situation, we decided to unify the region under a single identity to offer the Latin American gamer the opportunity to compete in the esports event that they have aspired to reach so much, due to their admiration for the largest competitive events in Asia, Europe and North America, to that they can finally demonstrate their talent to the world,” Cañizales pointed out.
How can gamers participate?
Latin American Pro Gamers League 2023 will have international competitive level categories. Each country participating in the league will have national qualifiers, open to the public. The player can participate in the league by registering on the digital platform and competing in the qualifiers for their country from the comfort of their home.
Through the GAMELOBBY digital tournament platform, players over the age of 16 will be able to register and will have direct access to the playoffs according to the country and category on the official portals of the league.
Each of the participating countries will have 2 national eliminatory phases from which the best players from each country qualify for the national final, where the national representative for each category will be selected. For the Regional Grand Final, the national representatives will travel with all expenses paid to Panama, the host country of the Latam Pro Gamers League 2023. There will be four months of competition – from May to August.
