Responsible for robbery of Optics in El Dorado is sentenced to 126 months in prison

Second of Crimes against the Economic Patrimony of the Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office achieved the sentence of the citizen Roy Puchicama Cabezón to 126 months in prison, for the crimes of aggravated robbery and against freedom, and he was imposed the accessory penalty of prohibition to carry firearms for the same term, after the main sentence has been served, in a hearing held before a Guarantee Court.

Prosecutor Ofira Agrazal, was on behalf of the Public Ministry, and exposed the elements of knowledge that supported the link of the sentenced person to this fact, proving it; and in which the sentence agreement was validated by a Guarantee Judge of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama.

The investigation for which he was convicted of robbery occurred on November 15, 2022, when the defendant entered an optician, located on Vía Ricardo J. Alfaro, Betania township, using a replica of a firearm and, Through violence and intimidation, he deprived the collaborator and a client of their liberty, locking her in the bathroom and stripping her of cash and other belongings.

The preliminary investigations were carried out by the Primary Care Section of the Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office, together with the Judicial Investigation Directorate (DIJ) of the National Police.
