Those responsible fled in a car that was later set on fire, and which had been required in Montevideo since September

Four people robbed a house in the town of Suárezcannelloni, and they took a briefcase with US$ 200 thousand in the early hours of this Thursday, sources from the Police Headquarters of that department confirmed to The Observer.
The robbers arrived at the house, located at kilometer 30 of Route 74 in the town of Suárez, around 00:30 this Thursday with their faces covered with “masks” and they knocked on the door. When a 39-year-old man served them they caught him, tied him with a seal and entered the house.
Inside the home there were two women, one 34 and the other 64 years old. The group threatened the latter and he took the briefcase with the dollars, escaping in a white Volkswagen Gol cardetailed sources from the Headquarters.
Police found the burned-out car hours later. and abandoned on the Camino Diego Pons de Suárez. The Canelones police indicated that the vehicle he was wanted for his theft since September 22 in Montevideo.
The Investigation Area of the Canelones Headquarters and the Toledo Prosecutor’s Office they investigate the case.
