The Association of Nursing Graduates (ALE) of the City of Buenos Aires The Obelisk will be mobilized this Thursday to demand “recognition” of the activity by the authorities of the Buenos Aires Government and for a salary increase for workers in the sector.
The mobilization will begin at 2:00 p.m. and it will take place on the day that National Nursing Day is celebrated, it was indicated through a statement released by the union organization that calls for this protest.
“Justice gave us the reason and the struggle of residents and attendees sets a new salary floor of 200 thousand pesos. Now, the Nursing Recognition is missing,” they remarked from ALE.
Andrea Ramírez, a nurse at the Ramos Mejía Hospital and head of this association, explained that “the justice of CABA summoned” the head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta and the district Health Minister, Fernán Quirós, “to apply the Professional Career regime to CABA nursing”.
? thrashed #Argentina with #Messi: tomorrow great match at the Obelisk ⚽️
❌ Justice agreed with us and now the residents / attendees set a new salary floor of 200 thousand pesos.

“The government appealed the measure, which is unusual. Now, the fight of residents and attendees, and health professionals, raised the salary floor to 200 thousand pesos. We lack the recognition of our collective. Enough of postponing the majority of the health team,” Ramírez remarked.
For her part, Carolina Cáceres, a nurse at Hospital Tornú and press secretary for the Federation of Professionals for ALE, pointed out that health workers “continue on the streets” and warned that “infirmary is going to fight until the end.”
