The vice president of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, in continuation with her speech in defense of her peace and anti-imperialism, said that the international community is under the obligation to “repay through cooperation” to the impoverished countries of the region to “be compensated for somehow” by historical situations.
“We have understood that peace is the way and that without peace we are nothing and that is why we say with all our souls that defending peace is a duty of the homeland, of Nicaraguans by the grace of God. Each and every one of us has understood that strengthening this path means strengthening the future, the future we deserve, that strengthening ourselves in the respect that we owe one another and in the demand for respect, the international community where we must relate every day for a Necessary, satisfactory cooperation, respectful cooperation and cooperation that has been retribution for what those powers that make up the international community have taken from us over the centuries,” said the spokesperson for the regime.

“Constructive cooperation, respectful cooperation, cooperation that is the right of our peoples to be compensated in some way, for what they took from us, solidary cooperation, respectful, friendly relations, but above all truthful, without hypocrisy, cooperation to advance, cooperation to that selfishness and poverty cease to reign, and that Jesus reigns as the prince of peace, of love, of that spirit that shares, that coexists and that feels happy, happy to share, and to live together in good times and difficult times». Murillo added in his telephone communication in official media.
Ortega and Murillo have risked international cooperation by breaking diplomatic relations with countries that are the main cooperators of the Central American country, mainly with the European nations with which Nicaragua has benefited through projects that aim to reduce poverty through the promotion of a more productive inclusive development model, focused on taking advantage of the demographic dividend and progress in education and health in the country, according to information handled by the Central Bank of Nicaragua (BCN).
On previous occasions, the vice president has called the international community “selfish” and denounced the sanctions imposed on her regime for allegations of human rights violations, repression and failure to comply with international agreements.
Murillo recently, in his worn-out speech on interference, stated that the actions of other countries “have only brought pain, death and suffering” to the country and requested that they respect what he called “common good processes.” “Respect the flag, respect our roads and respect our own events,” he remarked in the framework of the municipal elections held this past November 6, in which Ortega-Murillo appropriated all municipal powers.

The elections were questioned by the Organization of American States (OAS), the European Union (EU), and organizations such as the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), as well as by the Nicaraguan opposition excluded from the competition. The international community demanded transparent and observed elections, but the regime ignored the legal calls of the countries.
The presidential couple, instead of aligning themselves with international laws, has dedicated themselves to attacking opponents and any country that denounces the situation in Nicaragua is classified as “interventionist” by the regime and its followers.
