A woman who allegedly supplied drugs to prisoners at the José Antonio Anzoátegui Judicial Confinement Center was detained by police officers. Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), according to military sources.
The woman is identified as Mirtha Magaly Abreu Abreu González, who lives in the La Vega parish, Caracas. Abreu took a public transport unit in the capital bound for Barcelona, the capital of Anzoátegui. She carried with her a panela of cocaine.
At the Playa Pintada checkpoint, located near Boca de Uchire, bordering Miranda and Anzoátegui, Abreu was detained by members of the GNB. Before the military, she confessed that the drugs would be delivered to a person with whom she arranged to meet in the vicinity of Puente Ayala, the Barcelona sector where the prison is located.
The military requested a controlled delivery operation, a request that was authorized by Miranda Control Court 4, Barlovento extension.
Already in Puente Ayala, the woman delivered the drug to Pedro Rafael Orence Núñez, who was captured by the officials.
