After the approval of the 2023 Federation Expenditure Budget (PEF), Morena stressed that with her votes she reaffirmed the alliance with the welfare and development of Mexico
and that public spending guarantees support for the social rights of the sectors that need it most

In turn, the PRI bench pondered that the chamber endorsed the allocation of 13 billion pesos to ensure coverage of schedules and the payment of teachers in the Full-Time Schools program, an amount that means 84.5 percent more than authorized this year. Contrasted, however, the decrease of 14 billion pesos for the purchase of vaccines.
Deputy Sayonara Vargas highlighted that education has no color (of political party) and with this achievement the necessary budgetary resource will be allocated to provide extended hours in schools, mainly for the benefit of single mothers; it guarantees food for students, which is sometimes their only meal of the day, as well as additional salaries for teachers and clear operating rules in terms of transparency”.
His colleague from the bench, Cynthia López Castro, explained that thousands of heads of family have been affected above all, who stopped working because they eliminated the 25,000 full-time schools
. However, he regretted that higher education budget levels remain low.
Meanwhile, deputies from Morena pointed out that a large part of the spending is allocated to investment in the regions with the greatest lag and, in this sense, Anahí González explained that in the southeast the Mayan Train remains a priority as a trigger for the inclusive development of Tabasco, Chiapas, Campeche, Quintana Roo and Yucatan. It is a matter of time to observe the multiple benefits that are promoted throughout the value chain associated with transformative projects

Regarding the Full Time Schools program, Sonia Rincón Chanona explained that the reallocation of 13 billion will improve the conditions of school equipment and collective work, which in effect will benefit the communities with the food service in the schools, as well as scholarships for students.
