Nicaraguan regime gets ready to deliver under proselytism bonus for high school graduates

The vice president of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, announced on Tuesday the next delivery of the “complementary bonus” that the regime distributes each year to high school graduates who complete their studies in the country’s public education centers, who are forced to take photos with funds allusive to the FSLN.

«And so we see ourselves already closing the school year, for example, delivering from next week, I want to see the exact date, the complementary, supportive promotion bonus. Everything is ready for what is projected to be 63,000 high school students from all the educational centers of the public education system, as of Tuesday the 22nd we begin the delivery,” Murillo said in his usual telephone communication in official media on November 15.

Each one of the graduates will receive 1,000 córdobas in cash, equivalent to 28 dollars, according to the official exchange rate. In 2021, the authorities delivered the voucher to 64,966 students.

As in previous years, the delivery of this bond is carried out in the midst of political proselytism for the Sandinista party. In addition to receiving the money, the students must publicly praise the management of the dictator Daniel Ortega before the cameras of the ruling party and take photos surrounded by images referring to the government party.

According to the official Mined calendar, the country’s public schools will close the 2022 school year on December 1, the date on which it will be the last day of classes. Between December 3 and 4, promotions for initial education, sixth and eleventh grade are scheduled.

The government’s objective is for the students of the country, one of the three poorest countries in America, to use the money for graduation expenses or for the continuation of their studies. This is the sixth consecutive year that the scheme distributes money among young students.

According to official figures, the previous year closed with 65,000 new graduates from public schools, which indicates that this year the number of graduates will be lower since the bonus will be given to 63,000 students who complete their secondary studies.

Murillo continues to reaffirm his “defense of peace”

Along the same lines, Rosario Murillo reaffirmed that her regime will defend peace, “the coming year is of struggles that advance, struggles against poverty, the coming year of victories against poverty, the coming year of more work, security, stability, peace, because there is a homeland, there is peace and Nicaraguan families not only enjoy the peace that we deserve, we live in peace, helping to preserve it and safeguard that peace that is our patrimonial treasure”.

«The joy of living in peace, which we jealously guard, which we must guard our dreams, our hopes, our rights, the right joy of all. That peace that no one can take away from us. That peace that belongs to us, that peace for which hundreds of thousands of Nicaraguans have offered their lives, that peace that cannot be tampered with because peace is not played with. That peace that allows us to move forward at all times with the strength of spirit that we know ourselves. And that strength of spirit is precisely that strength of spirit that makes us not only defend it, but also be aware, each and every one, that peace is not to be played with, it is essential to strengthen it every day, follow it as a path every day and continue winning, because defending peace we win and we will win,” added the deputy president of Nicaragua.

This speech has been maintained by the spokeswoman for the regime days after the absolute control obtained by the presidential couple in all the municipalities of the country through the questioned municipal elections held on November 6. The Urnas Abiertas observatory confirmed that only 17% of Nicaraguans attended the polling stations; many did so forced by the regime before warnings of reprisals.
