The governor of Neuquén, Omar Gutiérrez, stated that with the development of the President Néstor Kirchner gas pipeline, Argentina “is on the way to becoming self-sufficient in gas production.”
Gutiérrez expressed himself in this way during his presentation on Energy and Development in the framework of the third industrial congress of the National Consensus of Work and Production, organized by Industriales Pymes Argentinos (IPA).

“We are connecting Argentina to the world and freeing up the possibility of exporting at least 200,000 barrels of oil a day in one year,” added the governor of Neuquén, who in turn highlighted that exports increased by approximately 20% this last year, with the main destination the United States.
“Vaca Muerta is a State policy, but there are policies that also generate work from the development of Vaca Muerta, which is why the plans that companies are carrying out with innovation, science and technology in the place are also important”Gutierrez stressed.

He also celebrated that “at first we imported human resources and talent, and today we are exporting them.”
Finally, the provincial president revealed that Neuquén is experiencing a record in the generation of private jobs, with 25 jobs per day only in August, which totaled 700 in the month.
