Authorities from Mexico City arrived at the scene immediately and began investigations to find those responsible.
Through social networks, Cine Tonalá confirmed that no one was injured during the assault.
“Unfortunately tonight we were once again the victim of an assault. Fortunately, our collaborators and assistants are well and without any damage, ”he reported.
“For our part, we want to inform you that we will reinforce the security force of the cinema, likewise we request the support of the authorities of the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office and the CdMx to investigate this fact, which has arisen previously,” he added.
It is not the first time that those attending the Tonalá Cinema, in the Roma Sur neighborhood, have been robbed. The most recent was in 2017.
